Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Lead Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Production Management team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of public cloud technologies and leading the migration of our complex systems to the cloud.

As a Cloud Solutions Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for making strategic decisions on public cloud onboarding and migration, driving the design and implementation of resilient, secure, and high-performing platforms in the public cloud, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of public cloud technologies and lead the migration of complex systems to the cloud
  • Design and implement resilient, secure, and high-performing platforms in the public cloud
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences
  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for the public cloud platform
  • Measure and optimize system performance to continually improve

Requirements:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • 8+ years in a technical development or lead role
  • Certification with AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional
  • Strong understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance, and monitoring
  • Experience with DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and SonarQube
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk
  • Knowledge of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with high-volume, mission-critical applications and their interdependencies with other applications and databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, S3
  • Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
  • SRE mindset and culture
  • Experience with Agile delivery and tools including Kanban framework
