Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team at Illinois Action for Children. As a key member of our Early Learning Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a research-based curriculum that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers.
  • Conduct regular assessments of each child's learning and development, using tools such as Teaching Strategies GOLD.
  • Collaborate with the classroom team to create a safe and healthy learning environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure that they are informed and involved in their child's learning and development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Gateways Level 2 Infant Toddler credential.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.
