- Establishes genuine and supportive relationships with each family from the point of enrollment. Collaborates with families to identify their needs and set ambitious goals. Maintains a manageable caseload of fewer than 100 families at any given time.
- Conducts family needs assessments within the required timeframe. Documents all interactions with families using the COPA database. Maintains individual child files with necessary documentation.
- Follows up with prospective families, providing information and coordinating site tours.
- Collects required health and nutrition data from families and collaborates with the Health Coordinator to assist families in accessing necessary medical/dental services.
- Completes the enrollment process with families and aids them in obtaining any missing documentation for enrollment.
- In collaboration with the Early Learning Recruitment Specialist, actively engages in recruitment and outreach activities, including identifying potential partnerships and community resources.
- Works with the Mental Health and Disabilities Coordinator to facilitate referrals for mental health services or evaluations for children with suspected special needs. Advocates for families throughout the process.
- Implements policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with parent involvement and program governance component requirements of all funders.
- In close collaboration with the Parent Involvement Coordinator, contributes to the development of annual and ongoing training and involvement plans for parents/guardians, including implementing relevant curricula. Gathers family input to inform and shape these plans.
- Encourages and supports parent/guardian engagement in Parent Committees and Policy Council.
- As assigned, represents IAFC to external groups/organizations to promote the agency and enhance service utilization through events, presentations, and day-to-day interactions.
- Ensures confidentiality of parent and provider information managed by IAFC.
- Demonstrates our workplace core capabilities of: accountability, customer focus, continuous quality improvement, communication, competent personnel, and clear priorities.
- Independently manages multiple tasks effectively in support of the department.
- Other functions: The organization may assign additional functions to the job at its discretion.
