Business Development Manager

Capital One seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to join its Commercial Banking team. This role requires at least 7 years of experience in commercial banking, with a focus on developing service relationships for commercial clients and leading efforts to acquire new relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or military experience, as well as a strong understanding of credit risk management and financial analysis. A Master's degree and completion of formal credit training are also preferred qualifications.
As a Director, Commercial Banking, you will maintain and develop relationships, administer existing loans, demand and time deposits, and cross-sell related banking accounts and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing, and pursuing an active customer call program to attract new banking relationships.
- Extending and sustaining the company's relationships with contacts/customers to maintain and inflate business.
- Making habitual calls on prospective clients to generate high-quality new loan, deposit, and fee business to achieve or exceed specific production goals.
We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary range of $202,400 - $231,000 for this role in New York City. In addition, this position is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
