Big Bear Restoration is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Mitigation Crew Chief. As we expand our water mitigation division, we emphasize teamwork and aim for excellence. We believe in nurturing talent from within and prioritize ongoing training and certifications for our staff.
The Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing the job site and guiding the team to successfully execute water, fire, and mold restoration tasks in both residential and commercial settings. By delivering high-quality and efficient services, you will contribute to our reputation as leaders in the cleanup and restoration sector.
As the first responders to water damage incidents, you will initiate the claims process, assess the scope of work, conduct necessary demolition, maintain daily logs, and ensure job completion and customer satisfaction. Working alongside a technician, you will respond to service requests and perform assigned tasks while ensuring effective communication with office personnel and management to meet all client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute water, fire, and mold restoration processes with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Clearly communicate expectations to production staff and supervise their tasks.
- Coordinate and carry out production activities.
- Identify safety risks and implement control measures to protect both occupants and workers.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation for each job.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and office staff.
- Manage labor and material usage efficiently on assigned projects.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the cleaning/restoration field.
- IICRC certifications are preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage the job site and team.
- Strong communication skills and excellent customer service orientation.
- Basic math and computer proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Capability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance, and perform various physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
