POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations & Repair division of Takkion Ops Management LLC provides an extensive range of specialized services, including Field Services, Gearbox Maintenance, Infield Repairs, Remanufacturing, Operations & Maintenance, Asset Management, Supply Chain Solutions, Control Center Operations, Composite/Blade Services, Mobile Oil Change, Inspection Services, and Electrical Solutions. As a Traveling Technician, your primary role will involve traversing North America to deliver field services for various turbine manufacturers and owners.

This role necessitates a solid understanding of company policies, procedures, and core values. Team members are expected to comply with all safety protocols in diverse work environments. The position operates predominantly in the field, and additional requirements include:

  • Capability to ascend ladders exceeding 300 feet in height
  • Weight limit of 280 lbs. for employee safety (PFPE requirement)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varied environmental conditions
  • Capacity to lift items weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for potential international assignments
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods, up to six weeks, and work overnight shifts or weekends as necessary
  • Commitment to safety practices
  • Strong mechanical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Readiness to undertake additional related tasks as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

To successfully fulfill the essential functions of this position, candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required; further education in wind or energy-related fields is preferred
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in wind energy or a related sector is preferred
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new software applications
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, and openness to change
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to address complex challenges
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement of operational processes
  • Willingness to collaborate with other teams to tackle challenges and enhance company performance
