Job Summary:
The Residential Specialist will provide support and instruction to residents of the assigned residential site under the supervision of a Program Supervisor or Program Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living skills and life skill development support to residents.
- Assist residents with weekly program schedules and outside activities.
- Maintain the security and safety of residents and the facility.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Recovery Plans for residents.
- Supervise and monitor residents in self-medication.
- Maintain accurate and current client documentation according to accrediting standards.
- Work with the Program Supervisor or Program Director to ensure the overall operations of the Group Home.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of related work or life experience.
- LPN license plus two years of related work or life experience.
- Combination of one or more years of college plus related work or life experience equaling four years.
- RN license.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus one year of related work or life experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mental health, health, or other appropriate human services related discipline.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver's license required.
Mandated Program Requirements:
Behavioral Health Services Completion of comprehensive competency-based training program for individuals providing adult mental health residential services required. Certification of CPI/CPR/First Aid, issued by a certified trainer within 90 days of employment. Completion of essential learning online training.
