Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist

At Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, we are seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to individuals in recovery, promoting self-advocacy, self-direction, and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, incorporating the client's strengths and preferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Facilitate education and skill-building activities to promote independent living, employment, and community inclusion.
  • Document client progress and services provided, adhering to Medicaid and CSEUC standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will work primarily in the client's living environment and in the community, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

Physical Demands:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will be required to stand, walk, and use hands to perform various tasks. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds is also necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
