Role Summary:

Caterpillar is looking for a Facilities Engineer to support our operations. In this capacity, you will oversee maintenance, installation, and advisory services for the infrastructure needs of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including operations and logistics, to plan and sustain the facility and grounds.
  • Participate in all maintenance activities, ensuring the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and physical infrastructure with a focus on Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage preventative maintenance for equipment.
  • Oversee the tagging and tracking of all facility assets.
  • Handle indirect procurement of facility-related materials.
  • Engage with contractors and vendors for maintenance and construction projects.
  • Lead or assist in projects related to welding, fabrication, and tooling development.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Problem Solving: Familiarity with methods and tools for identifying and resolving operational challenges.
  • Construction Engineering and Technology: Understanding of engineering principles applied to the construction sector.
  • Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of methodologies for managing and maintaining physical facilities.
  • Troubleshooting Technical Issues: Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges in a manufacturing context.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or facility maintenance.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP software.
