Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Aircraft Design

Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineer at L3Harris, you will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of design activities for aircraft. You will be responsible for developing designs for aircraft structures, systems, and components, utilizing 3D parametric CAD, rapid prototyping, and other tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop aircraft structures, systems, and components using 3D CAD software
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements
* Utilize rapid prototyping and other tools to validate designs
* Prepare and release engineering drawings and documents
* Generate bids for customer requested change orders and new pursuits

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
* Experience with 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping tools preferred
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects
