As a Senior Development Engineer, you will play a critical part in planning, designing, reviewing, and overseeing the development of essential water utilities projects, ensuring that Waco continues to thrive with reliable and efficient water services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed technical reviews of development plans, plats, and construction documents for water and wastewater systems.
Ensure proposed developments meet the city's engineering standards, codes, and water utility requirements.
Provide written comments, recommendations, and conditions of approval to developers and consultants.
Ensure all development projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to water and wastewater services.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies as necessary to obtain permits and approvals for projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water utilities, development review, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas upon hire.
