Position Overview:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Blue Origin, you will play a crucial role in the production of advanced aerospace components. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient fabrication, assembly, and testing of flight hardware for various space systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation and work instructions for production processes.
2. Oversee quality control, assembly sequence, and scheduling throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
3. Conduct thorough reviews of engineering drawings and provide final approvals for production.
4. Define and facilitate repair and rework processes as necessary.
5. Perform root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
6. Design effective material handling and packaging solutions to safeguard hardware during production and testing.
7. Maintain hardware configuration and ensure traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
8. Prioritize procurement and fabrication tasks, effectively communicating these priorities to the team.
9. Foster a strong customer focus and maintain excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and engineering.
- Proficiency in hardware manufacturing processes related to structures, fluid systems, or mechanical systems, including assembly, integration, and testing.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles related to mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across various locations.
- Strong technical skills in software applications such as CAD, scheduling tools, and office productivity software.
- Capacity to build trust and maintain professional relationships while contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.
- Experience in developing processes compliant with industry quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with GTAW welding and other specialized manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in managing large aerospace components and projects within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
