Business Analyst Role

This role is responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise business applications. As a Business Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for business stakeholders, working closely with them to understand their needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates understanding of FM Corporation's business and business processes.

Reviews and creates workflow processes to enhance efficiency.

Acts as a liaison between processing and technology development to ensure seamless communication and implementation of business requirements.

Conducts data analysis, ensures data quality, and supports processing and automation efforts.

Communicates technical and non-technical information effectively to various stakeholders.

Evaluates existing system documentation or procedures to solicit business requirements from the Business Support Services department.

Documents department activities using appropriate templates, tools, and tracking systems.

Creates and enhances reports, working with technology development when necessary to address reporting requests.

Participates in system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of FM Corporation's business applications.

Represents business needs on project teams.

Manages the coordination and distribution of work, planning and organizing workflow to meet all department objectives.

Identifies innovative opportunities to enhance reporting and make the processing dashboard more functional.

Utilizes tools like Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.

2+ years of general business analysis experience.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with techniques and tools utilized in functional design, data analysis, and data flow diagramming.

Knowledge of FM Corporation's current/planned technological environment and the appropriate technologies, tools, and techniques used to solve business problems.

Technical Skills:

Experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes.

Proven ability to work in technical environments that use tools involved in data flow diagramming, data analysis, issue tracking, documentation, and presentation.

Experience with Microsoft Excel required. Experience with data visualization software and/or process documentation software, a plus.

Soft Skills:

Proven ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication, and organizational skills.
