Position Overview

The Residential Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and growth of designated residential facilities. This position involves managing direct support personnel and acting as a key liaison between various programs and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

In alignment with Unified Community Connections' mission, the Residential Program Coordinator will:

1. Ensure that all individuals served are aware of their rights and responsibilities, and are safeguarded against abuse and neglect.
2. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all relevant agency, state, and federal regulations.
3. Oversee and manage the program budget effectively.
4. Ensure that each residential location is stocked with necessary supplies and groceries.
5. Collaborate with the Residential Director to maintain schedules for all assigned locations.
6. Ensure that medications are monitored for expiration and compliance.
7. Complete monthly documentation for each residential site.
8. Develop and communicate a monthly activity calendar that aligns with individual goals.
9. Maintain the upkeep of residential facilities, ensuring all equipment is functional.
10. Report maintenance issues promptly.
11. Assist with personal care needs of individuals as required.
12. Provide transportation for individuals when necessary.
13. Participate in an on-call rotation.
14. Assist with vehicle maintenance for assigned locations.
15. Report any quality assurance concerns to the Residential Director promptly.

Supervisory Duties:
Supervise residential program staff and other assigned personnel.

Qualifications:

1. An Associate's Degree in Human Services is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
2. A minimum of two to five years of experience in a residential or personal support services environment, with supervisory experience preferred.

Skills Required:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
3. Strong reading comprehension and written communication skills.
4. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, families, medical professionals, and colleagues.

Licensure and Certification:

1. Certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a valid Maryland State License in Speech-Language Pathology are required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to perform tasks such as writing, typing, standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
2. Must be able to lift and transfer individuals weighing over 50 lbs as needed.
3. Vision requirements include near and far distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
