Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Director to join our team at the University of California, Riverside. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of initiatives and projects in support of the University's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the University, aligning with its mission and values.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to identify and prioritize sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage data collection and reporting for sustainability metrics, including AASHE STARS and other relevant frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote sustainability efforts.
  • Work closely with the Faculty Lead for the Office of Sustainability and the Campus Sustainability Committee to advance sustainability goals.
  • Manage partnerships with external organizations to support sustainability initiatives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
