About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Veterinarian to join our team at Bristol-Myers Squibb. As a key member of our Non-Clinical Safety and Veterinary Sciences organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe conduct of clinical studies and marketing applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care and consultation for our Discovery sites in the Bay Area, San Diego, and Seattle.
  • Develop and implement internal policies and practices to ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in the IACUC and contribute to protocol review, routine inspections, and post-approval monitoring.
  • Collaborate with research and VS staff to develop effective working relationships and contribute to team success.
  • Travel to support Bay Area, Seattle, and San Diego sites, as well as participate in training and other business needs.
Requirements
  • DVM or VMD degree and current license to practice veterinary medicine in the US.
  • Understanding of laboratory animal medicine and regulatory requirements.
  • Applicable clinical experience with a wide range of species.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification or board eligibility from the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) or other recognized AVMA specialty certification.
