Job Summary

Cumberland County, NC is seeking an experienced Administrative Professional to support the Emergency Services Department. This role plays a critical role in managing the clerical and administrative functions of the department, relieving the Emergency Services Director and staff of daily operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage department budget, prepare revisions, and maintain invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts.
  • Process time and attendance sheets, collect data, and enter information into the time entry module of MUNIS.
  • Reconcile department purchasing card(s) and maintain data for NC-911 PSAP reporting.
  • Utilize computerized data entry equipment and various computer programs to enter, store, manipulate, and retrieve information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of various material and information, and summarize information for various reports.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited two-year college or technical school with a degree in business administration or the assigned area.
  • Two (2) years of experience in office administration or the assigned area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures, office software, and accounting methodologies.
  • Ability to provide leadership, set work priorities, and communicate effectively.
