Supply Chain Analyst Associate

Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst Associate is responsible for spearheading analytical initiatives that are driven by customer needs. This includes optimizing supply chain networks, analyzing facility locations, evaluating delivery services, assessing carbon footprints, and conducting inventory and transportation analyses, along with various other analytical tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytical projects focused on customer requirements, encompassing supply chain network optimization, facility location assessments, delivery service evaluations, carbon footprint analyses, inventory management, transportation assessments, and other necessary analyses.
- Serve as the primary analyst for logistics-related projects as designated.
- Identify and develop strategies to enhance transportation plans within FedEx Transportation Management operations through sophisticated analysis and modeling techniques.
- Propose modifications to programs and networks aimed at boosting performance and enhancing customer service.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers, clients, and internal departments. Participate in customer-focused site meetings to share insights and information.
- Assist in the creation of Ad hoc Reporting/Metrics for management and client presentations.
- Provide operational support as needed, generating innovative ideas and solutions to address challenges.
- Analyze management reports for both client and internal requirements. Engage in process improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and report on third-party performance, working with clients to optimize the use of contracted suppliers.
- Recommend suitable third-party suppliers to achieve service and cost objectives. Provide estimates on freight costs and other third-party services.
- Conduct logistics research to introduce new providers, services, and tools to clients.
- Manage corrective action responses and implement process modifications.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a Finance-related field is required.
- Entry-level experience of 0-2 years is preferred.
- Experience in transportation, distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain-related fields is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using modeling and simulation to resolve issues, along with demonstrated data management and analytical skills.
- Understanding of optimization principles and the application of software packages for optimization.
- Knowledge of simulation concepts and the distinctions between optimization and simulation.
- Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and strategic sourcing practices.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, SSIS, and SQL server databases or similar languages is preferred.
