Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Office 365 Enterprise Cloud team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality cloud services to our customers.

About the Role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering software improvements using your expertise in software development, complexity analysis, and scalable system design. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure services/systems are highly stable and performant, meeting the expectations of our government customers and users.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and implement changes to optimize code and improve platforms.
  • Leverage end-to-end technical expertise and telemetry analysis to identify patterns and opportunities to implement configuration and data changes.
  • Review the effect of changes to documents and share development insights within your team.
  • Drive code/design reviews, host regular meetings, and participate in on-call rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.
  • Respond to incidents during regular on-call rotations and share details related to incidents and their resolution through post-mortem reports and regular review meetings.
Requirements
  • 6+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
Security Clearance Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
