As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing scenarios for our customers, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing code as applicable.
  • Write and maintain code that is extensible and maintainable, applying coding patterns and best practices.
  • Learn about and apply diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability, and understand when the code is ready to be shared and delivered.
  • Apply knowledge of debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively flag issues before they occur and reactively flag issues as they occur for product features.
  • Conduct retrospective debugging of solutions to identify root causes of problems.
  • Review code and help review code of others to ensure it meets the team's and Microsoft's quality standards.
  • Participate in code review processes for self-development, gather feedback, and learn about coding standards and the team's features.
  • Collaborate with others to create a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions.
  • Help augment test cases and assure that features have good test coverage.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
