Custodian Role at NNEES

Position Title: Custodial Technician Job Number: CUSTO010612

Overview

The Position: We are seeking a dedicated Custodial Technician at NNEES to support the AbilityOne Program, which creates job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

  • Sanitizing and cleaning restrooms
  • Floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces
  • Managing waste disposal and shredding tasks

Compensation: $14.57 per hour plus an additional $4.22 per hour for Health and Welfare

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with possible Saturday shifts, 5pm to 9pm, totaling 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general cleaning tasks
  • Maintain and manage custodial supplies and equipment
  • Ensure proper waste disposal
  • Secure and unlock premises as required
  • Communicate needs to the Project Manager
  • Adhere to safety and environmental regulations

Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to adhere to instructions and safety protocols
  • Proficient in operating cleaning machinery
  • Capability to lift heavy items
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Employment Conditions

Must meet program eligibility criteria and successfully pass background checks.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves substantial physical activity, exposure to various hazards, and moderate exposure to atypical elements.
