We are currently seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive their medications safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed schedules, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and staff information.
  • Report any changes in resident conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in managing monthly medication records as required.
  • Ensure the Med room and Med cart are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of or learn to assist with various medical equipment as directed.
  • Accurately measure and record vital signs and weights.
  • Provide support to the front desk as needed.
  • Assist caregivers in meeting the needs of residents, including lifting when necessary.
  • Act as manager on duty when required.
  • Stay updated on First Aid/CPR and medication administration skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Participation in monthly in-service training is required.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred, but we are willing to provide training.
