Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a key member of our childcare program, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the YMCA's values and goals
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with state and local regulations
  • Participate in staff training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents to achieve program goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility
  • DEI training and certification
