Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a Childcare Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while also implementing a high-quality educational program that meets the needs of our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the YMCA's curriculum and meet the needs of our children.
  • Supervise and support a team of childcare staff to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive community.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move quickly in response to emergencies.
