About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at DLR Group. As a key member of our integrated design team, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide hands-on supervision to architectural, engineering, and design staff during all phases of the project.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Client Management: Serve as primary contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with a focus on client trust, rapport, and satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Understand business development and build and maintain ongoing professional relationships with clients.
  • Communication: Proactively and creatively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimation and Proposal: Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-15+ years of experience, with at least 2 years of experience successfully leading Architecture/Interior Design Projects.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and public speaking skills to participate in interviews and client presentations.
  • Travel: Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Technical experience in leading construction administration efforts and knowledge of building code and construction methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in the use of REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software, as well as experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office Suite, and other design software.
  • LEED Accreditation: LEED Accreditation and experience and interest in sustainable building design.
