Job Summary

The Gas Distribution Project Leadership Director is responsible for the successful delivery of Gas Distribution projects across the NiSource territory. This involves adhering to project management guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include project life cycle management, scope and estimate development, engineering deliverables, regulatory testimony support, and long-range planning. The Director will lead a diverse team of qualified individuals, provide coaching and feedback, and develop project estimates, budgets, and preliminary schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Displays leadership and support to provide a safe work environment.
  • Creats a supportive environment by building effective relationships, treating people with dignity, and soliciting feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Provides the opportunity for all employees to reach their maximum potential and contribution through coaching, timely feedback, and clarity of purpose and direction.
  • Leads a diverse team of qualified individuals with authority to hire, terminate, promote, demote, coach, develop, and performance manage.
  • Maintains industry, regulatory, and economic knowledge to ensure alignment of corporate strategies within the current business environment.
  • Responsibility and oversight of department finances.
  • Applies and advances Project Management and Project Controls capability and competence using industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Six years project management experience
  • Experience managing employees, budget, regulatory, capital projects
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI

The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 to $226,300 per year, based on industry standards and location.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3-4 days per week in-office/field and 1 day remote.
