Project Management Office Director

Altafiber is seeking a seasoned Project Management Office Director to lead our Project Management Office and drive the successful delivery of projects in our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing strategic project management frameworks that enhance project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and inspire the PMO team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
* Develop and implement comprehensive PMO strategies and frameworks that enhance project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives
* Establish standardized processes for project intake and assessment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource availability
* Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects based on business impact and urgency
* Oversee project scoping and planning, ensuring clarity of objectives, deliverables, and timelines
* Define and implement KPIs and metrics to monitor project performance, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget
* Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and executive leadership, facilitating effective communication and addressing concerns promptly
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support
* Mentor and develop project managers and team members, promoting professional growth and adherence to PMO best practices
* Conduct training sessions to enhance project management skills across the organization

Requirements:

* Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
* PMP certification required; additional certifications (e.g., PgMP, PMI-ACP) are a plus
* Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
* Proven experience managing IT consulting and professional services projects and portfolios
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has one or more employee direct reports.
