Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Consultant to join our Government Contracting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing audit and advisory services to government contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform audit procedures in accordance with firm standards and GAGAS, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement customized DCAA audit programs to conduct efficient audits.
  • Monitor project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to managers and/or partners.
  • Prepare work papers that are informative, indexed, cross-referenced, and easily understood.
  • Provide consulting services to government contractors, including accounting and consulting projects.
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring effective use of firm resources.
  • Alert management to any issues, constraints, challenges, or scheduling conflicts that may arise.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation within the office, fostering effective relationships with contractor representatives and government officials.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Accounting, with a CPA license or actively pursuing certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in public accounting or relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including knowledge of GAGAS.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Strong research skills and solid understanding of FAR & Indirect Rates, emerging understanding of CAS and DFARS business systems.
  • Proven technical skills with MS Office applications, audit software, and Caseware / CCH Engagement Manager experience a plus.
  • Solid organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
