Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Talent Development Lead at HRU Technical Resources. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our employees, driving business success, and ensuring a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in talent development, organizational design, and change management. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and Implementing Talent Development Programs
    • Develop and administer competency-based management strategies and processes to measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals.
    • Design and conduct assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs.
    • Identify and administer the types of training and development needed to achieve workforce performance enhancements and improvements.
  • Leading and Managing Talent Development Initiatives
    • Mentor, coach, and develop direct reports.
    • Manage direct reports: schedule, evaluations, morale, and engagement.
    • Guide creation of strategies and building of continuous improvement plans.
    • Drive quarterly rocks and annual goals to success.
    • Create synergy between recruiting and development work.
  • Career Development and Succession Planning
    • Leverage management strategies and processes to measure competencies, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals.
    • Work with managers/directors to identify and create employee career pathing plans.
    • Create employee training and development plans needed to achieve performance and growth for success.
    • Assist managers with monitoring employee career path plan execution.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain proactive processes for continuity strategy.
    • Identify, track, monitor career exit plans.
    • Create timeline planning for succession/successor opportunities.
  • Effective Management and Use of Budget
    • Research, locate, apply for, and manage training grant opportunities.
    • Assist with annual budget building for Acquisition & Development activities.
    • Provide recordkeeping, tracking, monthly reporting for training records, analysis of the value of resources.
    • Champion, communicate, and drive development, program information, processes, and training.
    • Create continuous awareness around programs and opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain active engagement and use in progresses and programs.
    • Actively and purposefully elevate these opportunities as part of the employee experience.
    • Regularly evaluate coursework and measure performance to gauge success and ensure we are providing highest value options for training and development opportunities.
    • Locate and maintain training sources, resources, and internal platforms to incorporate a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness.
    • Manage and coordinate internal & external trainers and vendors.
    • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment for self and employees.
    • Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
    Qualifications

We are seeking a highly qualified professional with:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Successful previous experience in supervising talent recruitment processes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and influencing skills required.
  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent creative, conceptual, and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Highly computer and technology literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Available, willing, and able to travel.
