Position Overview:

Compensation:
Base hourly wage: $20.85, with an additional health and welfare benefit of $4.57/hour, which can be utilized as cash, medical benefits, or a 401k contribution.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of general office experience.
  • Proficient in various office software, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to remain in a single location while navigating the office environment.
  • Maintain a vigilant awareness of all security protocols.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation, including criminal, education, and employment checks; credit and/or driving records checks may also be required.
  • Due to contract requirements, US citizenship and the ability to obtain necessary clearances are mandatory.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 45 lbs; standing for extended periods is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment for high-speed scanning, mailing, and metering.
  • Prepare and dispatch envelopes containing passports and supporting documents.
  • Box and archive files for storage.
  • Interface with applicants at service counters.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Review applications and documents for completeness and compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of passport books before distribution.
  • Process refund requests and manage credit card transactions.
  • Assist in training new Acceptance Agents and prepare necessary materials.
  • Maintain electronic records of acceptance facilities.
  • Contact applicants for additional documentation as needed.
  • Resolve issues with undeliverable mail and document actions taken.
  • Generate correspondence to address application discrepancies.
  • Assist with special projects as directed.
  • Provide administrative support during breaks for reception duties.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including lifting, sitting, reaching, and filing.
  • Ability to stand in public areas while assisting customers, with a requirement to stand for up to 12 hours based on scheduling.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions as required.
