About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Family Engagement Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in increasing parental involvement, engagement, and communication in our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and implement parent involvement activities, workshops, and classes to provide information and resources to parents.
  • Work with school leadership to manage relationships between the school and parent community, providing training and support to school staff on parent engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate existing programs for parents and assist them in developing academic home learning strategies for their children.
  • Research and promote best practices in parent engagement, and recruit and support parents as active volunteers in the school.
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise before and after-school programs.
  • Develop and maintain written support tools, including Parent Guides, and assess parent outreach efforts to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Make home visits and monitor student attendance issues.
  • Convene regular parent meetings and events around topics of key concerns to parents, and attend parent-oriented school events to foster relationships with families.
  • Identify and respond to day-to-day parent concerns related to school and community, and work with school principals to resolve parent issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence, and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community.
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree or two years of college; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in community development and family advocacy.
  • Ability to live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
