Escrow Assistant Job Description

At SummitHR, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to join our team. As an Escrow Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Escrow Officer in preparing files for closing, ordering title work, and sending out title commitments, taxes, and wiring instructions to lenders, agents, and buyers and sellers.

Responsibilities:
  • File Preparation: Assist the Escrow Officer in preparing files for closing, including ordering title work, taxes, HOA documents, payoffs, and any documentation needed for the file.
  • Communication: Send out title commitments, taxes, and wiring instructions to lenders, agents, and buyers and sellers, and answer phone calls and emails when the Escrow Officer is not available.
  • Task Management: Set up new files, receipt contracts, and deposit earnest money, and assist in helping the Escrow Officer with returning calls and emails.
  • Project Coordination: Assist marketing with projects as needed, including mail outs, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Time Management: Must be consistently on time for work each day and have dependable consistent attendance.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in customer service, clerical, or administrative support work.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Must have a professional appearance and good customer service skills, including conversing with all levels of management, employees, vendors, and customers, and be able to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
