Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scanning Operator I to join our team at Canon U.S.A., Inc. As a key member of our litigation support team, you will be responsible for operating scanning equipment, coordinating document preparation, and ensuring high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate scanning equipment, including Ricoh, Kodak, Canon, and Minolta machines, to produce high-quality documents.
  • Coordinate document preparation, including quality checking, indexing, and electronic file conversions.
  • Prepare and process projects for scanning, electronic conversion, and indexing, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Quality check production and output documents to clients' specified delivery media, including single-page and multi-page TIFF, OCR, PDF, email, CD, and DVD.
  • Maintain scanner quality, including cleaning lenses and reporting mechanical failures.
  • Log in/out boxes for scanning, record objective and bibliographic information, and create barcodes for documents.
  • Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year experience working in a mailroom or professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of metering, weighting, logging, and other shipping procedures.
  • Some computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to perform routine functions of various equipment and systems, including fax, scanner, metering, stamping, tracking systems, photocopying, and color copying.
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are a must.
