HRIS PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

Location: Remote with occasional onsite requirements

Employment Type: Contract

Onsite Expectation: Candidates should be located in the DFW area to pick up equipment and undergo some training. The role will primarily be remote with some onsite presence required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze specifications necessary for the development of new software applications and modifications to existing ones.
  • Support and maintain PeopleSoft HCM and data by investigating and resolving issues.
  • Document and comprehend the functionality implemented in PeopleSoft, including customizations and reporting tools.
  • Provide training, assist with forms processing, and offer technical support to colleagues and management.
  • Assist end users with reporting or functionality challenges related to HCM/HRIS.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to manage exception processes, minimizing disruptions to related operations.
  • Understand and articulate HRIS functional requirements in relation to system capabilities.
  • Utilize existing and emerging technologies to enhance HRIS efficiency.
  • Support managers in developing and executing operational plans for new and existing business applications, including user specification preparation.
  • Coordinate testing of new applications and modifications to ensure data integrity and quality, while also providing training to system users.
  • Create comprehensive policies and operational procedures to effectively communicate Information Resources issues to relevant management.
  • Assist in the formulation of new administrative procedures required by system changes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of business Information Resources strategies aimed at improving operational processes and productivity.
  • Oversee the development of specifications and prioritize tasks for the design and testing of various projects.
  • Review, develop, recommend, and implement activities related to assigned programs or functions.
  • Maintain and monitor accounts associated with projects or programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in business systems and/or Information Technology projects, including exposure to system development, testing, installation, and training, is required.
