Finance Operations Manager

Clean Harbors is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to become an integral part of our dedicated team. This role will serve as a key financial partner for our Incineration and TSDF Facility divisions. The main objectives of this position include:
- Collaborating with the leadership teams to gain insights into business operations and develop high-quality financial analyses and tools that drive performance.
- Conducting profit and loss assessments for business units by analyzing variances and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Reviewing, reconciling, and managing a diverse range of financial and accounting data to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Monitoring and supporting the capital expenditure process.

In this role, you will:
- Effectively communicate and present financial outcomes to the Facilities Leadership, providing in-depth analysis of monthly results with insights into variances against Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
- Collaborate with General Managers and Directors to formulate the annual Budget and monthly Forecasts, clarifying underlying assumptions and explaining changes versus Budget and Prior Forecast.
- Assist the Senior Vice President of Facilities in preparing materials for Monthly and Quarterly Operating Reviews with executive leadership.
- Design and develop reporting around Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that highlight operational opportunities and drive actionable insights.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the Facilities' operations and collaborate with teams to create tools that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes.
- Research and compile information from various systems and sources, recommending strategies to improve profitability.
- Establish a trusted partnership with the Facilities Management team, serving as a reliable resource for all Finance and Accounting matters.
- Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
- Research, prepare, and post Journal Entries as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with a collaborative mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required.
- A driven self-starter with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all financial matters.
