LPN Acute Care Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled LPN Acute Care Nurse to join our team at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. As a LPN Acute Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU).

About the Unit

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides care for patients who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive care, and we are seeking a LPN Acute Care Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor patient status and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Assume leadership roles as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the unit
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN license
  • AHA BLS CPR certification
  • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
