Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. As a LPN in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team takes a collaborative approach to care, and we are looking for a nurse who can work effectively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

About the Unit

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides care for patients who require a high level of monitoring and support. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we are looking for a nurse who shares our commitment to excellence. As a LPN in this unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in critical care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor patients' conditions and adjust care plans as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a current LPN license and AHA BLS CPR certification. You should also have basic computer skills and experience with Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, and EKG Machine.
