Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) team at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

About the Unit

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides ventilator and pulmonary care, as well as acute rehabilitation services. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs, and we are looking for a LPN who shares our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor patient status and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN license in the state of Maryland
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a critical care or rehabilitation unit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
