Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in balancing patient needs while ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Your support will be vital to the physician during various medical procedures, contributing to a positive patient experience.

This is a full-time position from Tuesday to Friday; proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and guide them to examination rooms; assist with form completion as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with clinic technology and adhere to company protocols.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems in multiple languages.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including transportation arrangements and rescheduling.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility through direct communication with insurance providers.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing.
  • Ensure that procedure rooms are organized and prepared for use at all times.
  • Assist physicians during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures following specific instructions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and maintain cleanliness post-procedure.
  • Provide patients with post-procedure instructions and medication acquisition guidance.
  • Prepare IV solutions as required.
  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Train new employees and support ultrasound staff as necessary.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, preferred
  • Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required

This is a full-time position from Tuesday to Friday; proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.
