Position Overview: A prominent community financial institution is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Chief Credit Officer (CCO) to spearhead the Credit Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a commercial credit team and collaborate closely with the President/CEO.
- Assess loan documentation and proposals to ensure creditworthiness.
- Enhance loan applications and documentation by advising credit analysts on additional requirements.
- Reject loans when necessary, providing clear explanations of deficiencies to applicants.
- Participate in the loan committee, reviewing and approving loans post-evaluation.
- Assist clients by addressing inquiries related to loan processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Commercial Credit or Lending.
- At least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
- Proficient in Commercial, Consumer, and Retail Lending.
- Strong credit expertise coupled with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated loyalty and a team-first approach.
- Ability to analyze and underwrite loans, manage client relationships, and cross-sell banking products.
- Familiarity with sales, commercial loan underwriting, processing, and closing procedures.
- Capable of multitasking efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills.
