Position Overview:

The Scheduler is responsible for managing provider and resource schedules, including clinics, nutrition, and clinical trial appointments. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure that all patient-related office visits, tests, and procedures are efficiently scheduled, and that all necessary preparations are completed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with hospital departments to arrange testing for inpatient and emergency room patients.
  • Schedule follow-up visits and procedures for patients.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding preparation for procedures and follow-up expectations.
  • Manage appointment scheduling for external entities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in customer service is essential.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with reception duties, clinic policies, and related paperwork is beneficial.
  • Experience with Epic or EMR systems is advantageous.
