Position Overview:
The Scheduler will play a vital role in coordinating provider and resource schedules, including clinics, nutrition, and clinical trial appointments. This position requires effective collaboration with multiple departments to ensure seamless scheduling of patient office visits, testing, and procedures, along with the necessary preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication with hospital departments to arrange testing for inpatient and emergency room patients.
- Organize follow-up visits and patient procedures.
- Address patient inquiries regarding preparation for procedures and anticipated follow-up.
- Coordinate appointments for patients at external facilities.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience in customer service is essential.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with reception duties, clinic policies, and administrative paperwork is beneficial.
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems is an advantage.
