Position Overview:

The Scheduler plays a vital role in managing provider and resource schedules, including clinics and clinical trials. This position requires effective communication with multiple departments to ensure seamless scheduling of patient appointments, tests, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with hospital departments to arrange testing for inpatient and emergency patients.
  • Schedule follow-up visits and procedures for patients.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding preparation for procedures and follow-up expectations.
  • Manage scheduling for appointments at external facilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in customer service is essential.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with reception tasks, clinic policies, and paperwork is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Epic or EMR systems is advantageous.
