This role is pivotal in supporting the Division of Food Safety through the planning, design, development, and execution of technology initiatives.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the enhancement of operational performance by ensuring a strong alignment between business processes and technology solutions.
  • Actively addresses the daily technological requirements of the business unit, focusing on process analysis to identify issues and propose effective solutions. This includes comprehensive systems process analysis, design, and simulation.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of technical challenges and solutions in relation to both current and future business landscapes, offering strategies for the integration of new and existing processes.
  • Contributes to the planning and prioritization of business process engineering activities, including the development of a business unit process engineering strategy that aligns with corporate objectives.
  • Demonstrates expertise in leveraging IT solutions alongside business process enhancements.
  • Engages in ongoing review and modification of processes to adapt to evolving business conditions. Identifies areas for improvement, documents current processes, analyzes gaps, designs new workflows, establishes performance metrics, and plans transitions to new processes.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on the future application of technology and business process enhancements.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 12 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully pass a background check.
  • Proven experience in conducting business analysis for IT projects.
  • Experience in managing large-scale software development initiatives.
  • Proficient in creating process model diagrams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with departmental staff at various levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Ability to derive business process and data requirements from analyzing documentation.
  • Skilled in translating information from discussions and written materials into process models and flow diagrams.

Compensation Range

$66,000 - $106,000, reflecting the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
