We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Membership Sales Representative to join our team at the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. As a key member of our membership sales team, you will be responsible for leading membership growth through marketing and lead generation, prospect management, and conversion to membership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all membership inquiries (phone, email, in person) and identify and actively problem-solve to overcome objections/obstacles to joining.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals by providing excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of membership marketing events to increase membership growth.
  • Process program registrations, payments, and membership enrollments accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to inquiries by providing accurate and thorough information at all times while on the phone or conducting an interview.
  • Provide access control by confirming that all membership cards are scanned upon entry to ensure membership is active and up to date.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong character values, communication skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
