Position Overview:

As a Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our innovative initiatives. This position is recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in fixed equipment, concentrating on Mechanical Integrity and asset management strategies, which encompass Inspection, Testing, Repairs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Criticality Assessments, and Risk-Based methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of Mechanical Integrity standards across the Americas.
  • Conduct critical equipment assessments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop asset strategies that align with business needs and criticality.
  • Recommend condition monitoring tools and techniques to elevate the effectiveness of the Mechanical Integrity program.
  • Perform ad hoc RCA, FMEAs, and PM reviews as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Strategy Corporate team.
  • Review engineering designs to ensure reliability is prioritized.
  • Conduct PSM audits to verify compliance and address any Mechanical Integrity-related findings.
  • Provide technical guidance to various sites as needed.
  • Support the rollout of corporate Physical Asset Management (PAM) standards.
  • Develop corporate standards for reliability practices and the most effective technology (MET).
  • Train and mentor site personnel on Mechanical Integrity standards and processes.
  • Stay updated on industry reliability methods and Mechanical Integrity practices.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer or 15 years as a Maintenance Engineer with a focus on API inspections.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in conducting RCA's, FMEA's, and PM Reviews with an emphasis on fixed equipment.
  • Expertise in fixed equipment inspection, testing, and repairs, adhering to relevant API/ASME codes.
  • A solid understanding of Risk-Based Inspection programs and damage mechanisms.
  • Leadership and technical skills to mentor other engineers and technicians.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the Americas.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in API 510, 653, 570, 571, 579, 580, or ASME FFS-1.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Experience with SAP S/4.
  • Experience in implementing an IDMS across an organization.
  • Experience in TAR within a chemical facility.
  • Demonstrated success in conducting high-level RCA's resulting in significant maintenance savings or improvements.
  • Experience in developing long-term Risk-Based Inspection strategies.
