Shift Hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (Overtime required)
Primary Objective:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing essential maintenance and electrical repair services to ensure optimal production operations during the evening shift.
Key Attributes:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in diagnosing simple to moderately complex electrical and mechanical issues
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production requirements
- Capability to formulate a safe work strategy.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Electrical expertise comparable to that of an electrical technician/installer
- Proficient in reading schematics and basic ladder logic
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits (240, 400 3-phase), testing procedures, and equipment
- Knowledge of facility electrical systems, including HVAC
- Mechanical knowledge nearing journeyman certification.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize ammeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test connections, trace circuits, and ensure component compatibility and safety.
- Maintain wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other components associated with manufacturing equipment.
- Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, and other electrical and electronic components as necessary.
- Employ hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Conduct regular inspections of all equipment to confirm proper operation and rectify issues proactively.
- Respond to emergencies and equipment malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using both electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers as required.
- Perform lock-out procedures on equipment as necessary.
- Adjust and modify existing PLC programs at work centers using a portable PC.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
