Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe dishroom environment, ensuring all dishes and utensils are properly sanitized and stored.
  • Fill and maintain dish sinks and machines with fresh water and detergent, adhering to established protocols.
  • Scrape and rinse all items to be cleaned, and pre-soak eating utensils prior to washing.
  • Inspect clean dishes and utensils for stains or food particles, and report any issues to management.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, sinks, and equipment, adhering to established cleaning schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading dishes onto carts, and wash off carts after each use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including sweeping and mopping kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move around the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and reaching.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line.
  • Standing most of the work day is required.
  • Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
