Job Overview

Armand Corporation, a recognized M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 33 years of expertise in the sector, is in search of a dedicated Water Utility Construction Inspector to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the domain of construction related to water utility inspections.

This role is a full-time, on-site position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of water and sewer lines to verify adherence to municipal standards, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluating existing conditions, ongoing work, and completed projects for quality, thoroughness, and precision.
  • Generating comprehensive documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection records, daily time and material logs, and unit price work documentation.
  • Reviewing and annotating plans and specifications as necessary to ensure compliance with the executed work.
  • Assisting the Project Manager/Resident Engineer with Requests for Information (RFIs) and Authorized Work Orders (AWOs).
  • Monitoring work conditions to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
  • Managing conflicting priorities; addressing issues promptly; and ensuring projects are completed successfully.
  • Communicating effectively with various stakeholders regarding project progress in a timely manner.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience in water utility construction, engineering, or architecture is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision or inspection.
  • OSHA 10 certification is required (additional training will be provided if necessary).
  • Familiarity with PWD Main Standards 1985, PWD Standard Sewer Details Engineering, PWD Field Inspector Guide, and Green Master is advantageous, though training will be provided if needed.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
