Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a qualified individual to oversee the upkeep of all heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems and related equipment in a secure and cost-efficient manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing central chilled water systems.
  • Repairing all control air handling units.
  • Maintaining and fixing all refrigeration systems.
  • Managing all systems related to air conditioning, including pneumatic and electrical control systems, cooling towers, chillers, and associated equipment.
  • Maintaining and repairing steam converters and their related systems.
  • Conducting daily equipment inspections.
  • Ensuring all tools and testing equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Acquiring supplies from local vendors.
  • Ordering necessary parts and supplies for HVAC operations.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance on all essential equipment.
  • Fabricating parts that are not commercially available.
  • Supervising the training of General Maintenance Technicians in HVAC and Refrigeration.
  • Repairing ice machines and related equipment.
  • Coordinating, installing, and ordering parts for HVAC/Refrigeration construction projects.
  • Adhering to facility and departmental safety protocols at all times.
  • Handling minor repairs to equipment, structures, and environmental systems.
  • Changing filters on all heating and cooling units.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment rooms and workshop areas.
  • Replacing broken belts on air handler units as necessary.
  • Resetting and checking tripped circuit breakers in electrical panels.
  • Managing the fire alarm system.
  • Assisting in construction projects as required, including painting, patching, or demolition.
  • Helping with the relocation of office furnishings.
  • Replacing ceiling tiles as needed.
  • Documenting all information required by the preventative maintenance program.
  • Recording all medical gas readings as necessary.
  • Monitoring and recording hot water tank temperatures.

Sovah Health - Danville is a 250-bed facility recognized as the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We serve as an academic teaching site for various healthcare professionals.

To qualify, candidates should possess a Master/Journeyman's card and a Certificate in Universal Refrigeration Transition and Recovery, or a minimum of ten years of experience in HVAC.
